Day 1: light logic

 

In school we drew many spheres. This exercise is where we begin to learn the fundamentals of what is known to artists as Light Logic. Most of us come away from this exercise and start "pillar shading" or start smudging everything from a to z because "something" looks better than nothing.

Can i do more though? Can i take it farther than a sphere or a cube?

That is what I hope to find out. I hope the answer is yes.
